What is an Invited Student?
Invited Students are high-potential learners who have been identified and recommended by trusted educators, employers, or program partners to participate in the GetMyInterns career-launching platform.
These students demonstrate academic preparation, professional readiness, and a strong interest in gaining real-world experience through internships.
The Invited Student designation helps ensure that internship providers are connected with motivated, prepared, and vetted candidates.
How Students Qualify for an Invitation
Students may receive an invitation through one or more of the following pathways.
1. Educator Recommendation
Teachers, career counselors, and school administrators may recommend students who demonstrate strong potential for career success.
Recommended students typically show:
Strong academic effort or achievement
Reliability and professionalism
Interest in career exploration
Readiness to participate in an internship
2. Career & Technical Education Participation
Students enrolled in Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs or career academies may qualify for invitations when their coursework aligns with internship opportunities.
Examples include programs related to:

Skilled Trades
3. Demonstrated Skills or Certifications
Students who have demonstrated practical skills or earned industry-recognized credentials may be invited.
